Soccer Recap: Florence Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Clinton

On Thursday, Florence faced Clinton in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Florence Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clinton Arrows. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.

Florence's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Clinton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which lines up perfectly with their 10-3-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games.
