The More Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the Woodside Wildcats at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (More has nine straight victories, Woodside has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
More's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on KIPP San Jose Collegiate with a sharp 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Gabe Detar and Anthony Selway made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Detar struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Selway tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. At bat, Detar went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and three runs, while Selway went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave Detar a new career-high.
In other batting news, Blaise Boudreaux was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Charles Selway was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Woodside couldn't beat Menlo School on Thursday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the seventh inning. The Wildcats came up short against the Knights, falling 23-9. Even though they lost, the Wildcats' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Woodside saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cruz Torres, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Felix Kelly also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
More pushed their record up to 15-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Woodside, their loss dropped their record down to 9-14.
More's speedy runners might be the difference in Saturday's game. The Knights have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Woodside, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will More continue to outrun the ball?
