Recap: International Community Comets vs. Holy Ghost Prep Firebirds
The International Community Comets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 66-51 bruising from Holy Ghost Prep.
When it comes to explaining why International Community lost, one person who can't be blamed is Adam Jablon. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jablon has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gavin Philips, who scored ten points.
International Community's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 4-10. As for Holy Ghost Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. International Community's road trip will continue as they head out to face Pennington at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th. Pennington presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than International Community in their respective states (Pennington is ranked 12th in New Jersey, while International Community is ranked 598th in Florida). As for Holy Ghost Prep, they will head out on the road to take on Pennsbury at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
