Basketball Game Preview: North Rowan Cavaliers vs. East Davidson Golden Eagles

The North Rowan Cavaliers will head out on the road to take on the East Davidson Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, North Rowan lost to Mount Pleasant at home by a 51-34 margin.

Despite the loss, North Rowan got top-tier performance from Krisstyle Stockton, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Stockton has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Allanah McAuthur, who posted four points and three steals.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for East Davidson on Wednesday. They blew past Leadership Academy 50-26. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Golden Eagles had established a 23 point advantage.

North Rowan's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for East Davidson, they moved to 5-13 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

North Rowan was taken down by East Davidson 61-32 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can North Rowan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
