Basketball Recap: Westside Triumphs

Fountain Inn came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Westside, but Kmajay Jenkins wouldn't allow it. The Westside Rams secured a 60-55 W over the Fountain Inn Fury on Tuesday thanks in part to Jenkins, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played.

Ricky Hood was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Fountain Inn lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Amaziah Austin, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Amere Moody, who scored eight points and three steals.

Westside's record now sits at 17-8. As for Fountain Inn, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-11.

Coming up, Westside will face off against Southside at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Westside is facing Southside at the right time seeing as Southside is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. Fountain Inn does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
