Baseball Game Preview: Desert Scorpions vs. Rosamond Roadrunners

Desert is 0-10 against Rosamond since May of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Scorpions will host the Roadrunners at 3:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Desert is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Mammoth, falling 18-6.

Meanwhile, Rosamond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-9 to Kern Valley.

Anthony Robles was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Zane Adams, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Rosamond's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Desert, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Desert couldn't quite get it done against Rosamond in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 7-2. Can the Scorpions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
