Basketball Game Preview: Bridgeport Bulldogs vs. Hershey Panthers

Bridgeport has gone 9-1 against Hershey recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bridgeport Bulldogs will look to defend their home court against the Hershey Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Bridgeport comes in on 14 and Hershey on three.

Last Friday, Bridgeport got the win against Gordon-Rushville by a conclusive 64-42. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 22 points or more this season.

Bridgeport's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tacey From led the charge by dropping a triple-double with 15 points, 12 boards, and ten steals. From has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 29 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ella Schluterbusch, who posted 16 points and six steals.

Bridgeport was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gordon-Rushville only racked up six assists.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Hershey took on Chadron on Wednesday. Hershey came out on top against Chadron by a score of 50-37.

Bridgeport's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.4 points over those games. As for Hershey, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.
