Basketball Recap: Farmville Central Takes a Loss

Farmville Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 48-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greene Central Rams. The Jaguars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 47-45.

Despite the loss, Farmville Central still got an impressive performance from Madison Denham, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ari'Yannah Brooks, who posted nine points.

Greene Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sykiah Lancaster, who scored 18 points. The dominant performance also gave Lancaster a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (67%). An'nysha Wooten was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Farmville Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Greene Central, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Farmville Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-32 victory against North Pitt on the 14th. As for Greene Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 41-38 win against North Lenoir on the 12th.
