Volleyball Recap: Clinton Cougars vs. Big Foot Chiefs
Clinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Big Foot Chiefs. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chiefs earlier this season, when they won 2-0.
Clinton took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-20, 21-25, 23-25, 25-11, 15-8.
Clinton lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kiana Stahl, who had 17 digs and 15 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Maryn Waite, who had eight digs and three aces.
Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Big Foot, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 8-22.
