Volleyball Recap: Spring Valley Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Spring Valley won the last time they faced Clark and things went their way on Thursday too. The Grizzlies walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Chargers.

The win didn't come easy: Clark scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 19-25, 26-24, 25-22.

Dylan Agustin paced Spring Valley's offense, picking up 14 kills. Agustin got some help from Zaydeus Palado and his 34 assists. Finally, Cooper Turner kept Spring Valley's defense grounded, leading the team with 11 blocks.

Clark lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Theodore Birdsong, who had three aces and one block. Michael Chung was another key player, getting 13 kills and three blocks.

Spring Valley has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-13 record this season. As for Clark, their loss dropped their record down to 3-18.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Spring Valley will face off against rival Las Vegas at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Clark is set to challenge their familiar foe Chaparral at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
