Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Silver Foxes vs. Chapin Huskies

Jefferson hasn't had much luck against Chapin recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Jefferson Silver Foxes are taking a road trip to square off against the Chapin Huskies at 7:30 p.m.

Jefferson is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Burges and fell 74-14. While losing is never fun, the Silver Foxes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1284th, while the Mustangs are ranked 338th).

Meanwhile, Chapin entered their tilt with El Paso on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They took down the Tigers 54-37.

Chapin's win came from a few key players Jefferson will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jasmine Blake, who posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Blackwell, who put up ten points.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Chapin, they pushed their record up to 16-12 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Jefferson was taken down by Chapin 47-7 when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can Jefferson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
