Baseball Recap: McQuaid Jesuit Triumphs

McQuaid Jesuit gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against the Fordham Prep Rams by a score of 4-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

McQuaid Jesuit got a great performance from Brayden Craig as he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Thomas Bailey, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Zach Craib also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The win got McQuaid Jesuit back to even at 3-3. As for Fordham Prep, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McQuaid Jesuit will square off against Iona Prep at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. As for Fordham Prep, they will take on Moore Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Mavericks' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Rams' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
