Baseball Recap: Oakleaf Comes Up Short

Oakleaf lost against Florida State University High School back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Oakleaf Knights fell just short of the Florida State University High School Seminoles by a score of 6-5. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

JP Espinosa made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those stolen bases marked the first that he's stole this season. Jay Arzuaga-Flores was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Oakleaf's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Florida State University High School, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

Oakleaf didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Thomas County Central on the 22nd. As for Florida State University High School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-2 loss against St. Johns Country Day on the 22nd.
