Baseball Recap: James Buchanan Has No Trouble Against Northern York

James Buchanan never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Northern York Polar Bears as they made off with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Rockets have won four matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Carter Hissong, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Drew Crouse, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

The win made it two in a row for James Buchanan and bumps their season record up to 7-4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Northern York, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. James Buchanan is set to challenge their familiar foe Greencastle-Antrim at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rockets 3.9, the Blue Devils 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Northern York will face off against rival Boiling Springs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
