Softball Recap: Butler Has No Trouble Against Manchester Regional

While Butler put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Manchester Regional. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over the Falcons. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

Butler is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Manchester Regional, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Butler will head out to take on Glen Rock at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Manchester Regional, they will take on Mary Help of Christians Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons are facing the Blue Jays at the right time seeing as the Blue Jays are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
