Rantoul had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Paxton-Buckley-Loda on Monday. The Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand the Panthers a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Eagles have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Rantoul now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Paxton-Buckley-Loda, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rantoul will square off against Danville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Paxton-Buckley-Loda, they will head out to face off against St. Thomas More at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
