Volleyball Recap: Elkhart Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Elkhart Christian Academy lost against Wawasee back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elkhart Christian Academy actually scored more points across those three sets (55-48), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-17, 8-25, 15-13.

Ryleigh Viront paced Elkhart Christian Academy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Viront got some help from Kiara Trovatore and her 20 assists. Mia Hibbard controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Elkhart Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Wawasee, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-15.

Elkhart Christian Academy has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Columbia City on the 20th. As for Wawasee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Whitko on the 20th.
