Baseball Recap: SouthLake Christian Academy Comes Up Short

SouthLake Christian Academy managed to slip by Providence Day the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The SouthLake Christian Academy Eagles came up short against the Providence Day Chargers on Wednesday, falling 16-5. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Evan Hogg made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run was his first of the season.

Hogg wasn't the only one working in the home run department: SouthLake Christian Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 2-4. As for Providence Day, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

SouthLake Christian Academy has already played their next game, an 11-6 defeat against Legion Collegiate Academy on the 13th. As for Providence Day, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-2 loss against Gaston Christian on the 13th.
