Soccer Recap: Unity Reed Comes Up Short

Unity Reed was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 7-1 to the Gainesville Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Gainesville this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

Unity Reed's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Gainesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Unity Reed is set to face off against their familiar foe Patriot at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Gainesville will square off against rival Osbourn Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
