Baseball Recap: Solanco Beats Warwick for Their Third Straight Victory

Solanco hadn't done well against Warwick recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Golden Mules never let the Warriors get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Golden Mules, who have now won three contests in a row.

Not much got past Derek Phipps, who gave up just two hits to keep Warwick off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Chase Sensenig, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Herr, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Solanco's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Warwick, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Solanco is set to square off against their familiar foe Elizabethtown at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Golden Mules 4, the Bears 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Warwick will challenge rival Lampeter-Strasburg at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
