If Pendleton Heights wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Muncie Central, they should've done a better job of containing Jaxson Johnson. The Muncie Central Bearcats came out on top against the Pendleton Heights Arabians by a score of 59-49 on Saturday thanks to Johnson, who went 8-for-15 en route to 24 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Terry Miles was another key player, putting up four points and eight boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Pendleton Heights lost, don't look at Cooper Sims. Despite the final result, he went 7-for-16 to rack up 19 points. That was a full 38.8% of Pendleton Heights' points, marking the third time in a row Sims has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Joseph Estes, who scored eight points.

Muncie Central's record is now 7-15. As for Pendleton Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Muncie Central will venture away from home to challenge New Castle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pendleton Heights, they will head out to face off against Centerville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Centerville will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Pendleton Heights surely won't give up without a fight.
