Basketball Recap: Prescott Takes a Loss

Prescott was the 45-36 winner over Amery when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Prescott Cardinals fell 51-40 to the Amery Warriors on Thursday.

Prescott's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-11. As for Amery, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cardinals face off against the Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Prescott is facing Ellsworth at the right time seeing as Ellsworth is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Amery, they will square off against McDonell Central at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with McDonell Central sitting on six straight victories and Amery on five.
