Softball Recap: Osceola Has No Trouble Against Pinellas Park

Osceola won the last time they faced Pinellas Park and things went their way on Thursday too. The Osceola Warriors put the hurt on the Pinellas Park Patriots with a sharp 16-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Theresa Diez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Diez was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

In other batting news, Jenna Neupaver was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Gigi Dorwin was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.

Osceola was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pinellas Park only posted a batting average of .111.

Osceola's record now sits at 2-0.

Coincidentally, Osceola and Pinellas Park will both be playing St. Petersburg the next time they take the field. Osceola will head out to face St. Petersburg at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while Pinellas Park will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
