Recap: Fleming vs. Stratton/Liberty

On Saturday, Stratton/Liberty faced Fleming in a battle between two of the state's top teams. It could have gone either way late during winning time for Stratton/Liberty or Fleming, but it was Fleming snatching the 28-27 win. Stratton/Liberty's defeat signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

senior Brandon Williams had a stellar game for Fleming as he rushed for 164 yards and three TDs on 17 carries. In fact, with 13 tackles Williams was a force on both sides of the ball. More help came courtesy of junior Brady Kuntz, who was good for 19 tackles.

The Knighted Eagles might have lost, but man -- junior Jaret Lichty was a total machine. He rushed for 267 yards and four TDs on 28 carries. Stratton/Liberty received support from Lichty on the other side of the ball, too, as he amassed 11 tackles.

The Knighted Eagles' loss pushes them down to 11-2. The victory for Fleming kept them a perfect 13-0. With that, the Division A-6 Man playoffs come to an end.
