Basketball Recap: E.E. Smith Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

E.E. Smith won the last time they faced Pine Forest, and Azariah Brunson did her part to make sure it happened again. The E.E. Smith Golden Bulls blew past the Pine Forest Trojans 46-21 on Thursday thanks in part to Brunson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.

Pine Forest's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Daisha Washington, who posted seven points and five steals, and Tahlia Glover, who earned six points along with eight boards and four steals. That's the most boards Glover has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Jaliyah Carter, who put up four points and seven rebounds.

E.E. Smith is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Pine Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

E.E. Smith didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-53 loss against South View on the 20th. As for Pine Forest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 38-35 win against Jack Britt on the 20th.
