Meanwhile, Tahoka unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 35-34 to Ropes. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring match so far this season.
The losing side was boosted by Brogan Stone, who threw for 206 yards and a touchdown on only 14 passes, and also rushed for 30 yards and a touchdown. Those 30 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Ruben Arguello was Stone's top target, picking up 85 receiving yards, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground.
