Baseball Recap: Midland Comes Up Short

After flying high against Edgewood-Colesburg on Thursday, Midland came back down to earth. The Eagles lost 25-3 to the Lisbon Lions on Monday. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Lions since Monday.

Midland has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Lisbon, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lions beat Midland by a score of 3-2 later that day.
