Baseball Recap: South Continues Home Dominance on Friday

South extended their postseason success on Friday against Pacifica. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tritons, sneaking past 3-1. That's two games straight that the Spartans have won by exactly two runs.

The team relied heavily on Cody Pierson, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Dane Rhodes, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

South pushed their record up to 18-13 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games. As for Pacifica, they moved to 21-10 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, South is taking a road trip to face off against Ganesha at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Giants will roll in looking for their 19th straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight. Pacifica does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
