Football Recap: Community Christian Knights vs. Young Americans Christian Eagles
Community Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 25-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Young Americans Christian Eagles. The Knights gained 87 more yards on the day, but it was the Eagles that made the best use of them.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaiah Lee, who rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Lee's longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Aurelius Brooks was another key player, rushing for 50 yards and a touchdown.
Community Christian wouldn't let Young Americans Christian keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force four fumbles. Cameron Somers led the group effort, picking up two of those forced fumbles all by himself.
Among those leading the charge was Jayden Sigur, who rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 23 yards and a touchdown.
