The Warner Christian Academy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 47-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Calvary Christian Academy. Warner Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Warner Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Christian Nicholas, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Nicholas hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Benjamen Glenfield, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.

Warner Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11.

Warner Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Trinity Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully the Eagles like a good challenge. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Rams at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Interlachen focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Thursday.
