Basketball Recap: Enumclaw Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Enumclaw, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 67-60 victory over the Decatur Golden Gators on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-52 back in December of 2024.

Decatur lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Dar Mcjimpson Jr, who went 8 for 15 on his way to 23 points. Mcjimpson Jr's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dominique Degrate, who went 8 of 11 en route to 18 points and seven rebounds.

Enumclaw's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Decatur, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Enumclaw will venture away from home to challenge Auburn Mountainview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Auburn Mountainview will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something Enumclaw surely won't give up without a fight. As for Decatur, they will host Kent-Meridian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Decatur's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.
