Softball Preview: Miramonte Matadors vs. Kennedy Titans
The Miramonte Matadors will take on the Kennedy Titans at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kennedy took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Miramonte, who comes in off a win.
Miramonte's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Terra Linda with a sharp 20-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Matadors.
Abby Warren and Sammy Hardy made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Warren didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Hardy pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Warren got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Hardy got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. Kennedy kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Foothill.
