Basketball Recap: Cleburne Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Cleburne, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 53-42 victory over the Burleson Elks on Tuesday. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 306th, while the Elks are ranked 767th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cleburne pushed their record up to 18-14 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Burleson, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-22.

Cleburne didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 43-32 victory against Mansfield Timberview on the 31st. Burleson has also already played their next contest, a 69-37 loss against Mansfield Summit on the 31st.
