Basketball Recap: Thomas Ridlehuber's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sullivan East over North Greene

Sullivan East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. The contest between them and the North Greene Huskies didn't end well, with the Sullivan East Patriots falling 53-37. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 339th, while the Huskies are ranked 149th).

Sullivan East's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Thomas Ridlehuber, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Blue Proffitt, who posted nine points.

Sullivan East's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for North Greene, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Sullivan East will be playing at home against Elizabethton at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sullivan East is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54 points per game this season. As for North Greene, they will venture away from home to challenge University School at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. University School will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something North Greene surely won't give up without a fight.
