Meanwhile, Kanab narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Gunnison Valley 4-2.

The team relied heavily on Kale Glover, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That RBI was his first of the season. Grady Anderson was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

Beaver's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Kanab, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-1.
