Football Recap: Hammond Piles Up the Points Against Hilton Head Christian Academy

Hammond had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 56-point drubbing they dealt Hilton Head Christian Academy on Friday. The Skyhawks claimed a resounding 56-0 win over the Eagles. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Skyhawks had established a 35-point advantage.

Hammond's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ben Muela Kiser, who rushed for 152 yards on only 12 carries, and also threw for 145 yards on only 11 passes. Another rusher making a difference was Levi Myers, who rushed for 76 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.

As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Pinewood Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
