Basketball Game Preview: Granville Blue Aces vs. Marion-Franklin Red Devils

The Granville Blue Aces will challenge the Marion-Franklin Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Granville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Marion-Franklin likes a good challenge.

Last Monday, Granville wrapped up 2024 with a 62-48 victory over Whitehall-Yearling.

Meanwhile, Marion-Franklin played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Dublin Scioto 72-43. The Red Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-18.

Granville's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Marion-Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Granville strolled past Marion-Franklin when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 79-60. Will Granville repeat their success, or does Marion-Franklin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
