The Medford Tigers will face off against the Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Medford has three straight wins, Waterville-Elysian-Morristown has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday, Medford was able to grind out a solid victory over Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton, taking the game 11-6.
Mason Krenz was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Landon Seiler was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Medford is undefeated when Seiler posts three or more hits, but 1-6 otherwise. James Wagner was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Medford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Waterville-Elysian-Morristown fell victim to Sibley East and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Wolverines, falling 10-0.
Medford's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Waterville-Elysian-Morristown, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
Waterville-Elysian-Morristown's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Medford has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .436. It's a different story for Waterville-Elysian-Morristown, though, as they've only averaged .334. Will they be able to contain Medford's hitters?
