Baseball Recap: Waverly Vikings vs. Ralston Rams
Waverly was the 12-1 winner over Ralston when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Waverly fell just short of Ralston by a score of 8-7 on Saturday.
Waverly got a good showing from Owen Glassburner, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Trevor Roesler was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two). Hunter Thoms was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
