Oak Ridge had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with an 8-4 win over the Tomball Memorial Wildcats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the War Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2019.

Oak Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Tomball Memorial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Oak Ridge will be taking part in a tournament against Bridgeland at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Bridgeland: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Oak Ridge has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season. As for Tomball Memorial, they will take on New Caney in a tournament on Friday. New Caney's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Tomball Memorial's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
