Baseball Recap: Clairemont's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Clairemont lost against Otay Ranch back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Clairemont fell just short of Otay Ranch by a score of 2-1. The loss was the Chieftains' first of the season.

Clairemont got a good showing from Jack Pawlack, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Brendan Weiss was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Clairemont fell to 3-1. As for Otay Ranch, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2-1 record this season.

Clairemont will square off against West Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Otay Ranch, they will host Mission Bay at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Otay Ranch 3.8, Mission Bay 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
