Basketball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Trinity Christian Eagles.

Christofer Thomas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Trinity Christian, putting up 23 points. With that strong performance, Thomas is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Mathew Daniel was another key player, earning 11 points.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 5-21. As for Trinity Christian, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-3.

Skyline won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
