Recap: Terry Sanford Bulldogs vs. Rolesville Rams
The Terry Sanford Bulldogs struggled with three-point shooting accuracy on Friday (the Rolesville Rams were 20% better) and sadly the final score reflected it. Terry Sanford was outmatched by Rolesville on the road and fell 55-28.
Despite the defeat, Terry Sanford saw an underclassman step up: Amya Harrington dropped a double-double on 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Rolesville can attribute much of their success to Caitlyn Jones, who scored 27 points along with 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Jones has scored at least 25% of Rolesville's points. Another player making a difference was Laila Lewis, who scored 9 points along with 19 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Terry Sanford's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Rolesville, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Terry Sanford will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Overhills at 6:00 p.m. on December 5th. Hopefully Overhills focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday. As for Rolesville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against East Wake at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. East Wake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while Rolesville is ranked fifth).
