Basketball Recap: Concordia Takes a Loss

Concordia lost against Texas School for the Deaf on January 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Concordia Cardinals lost 47-27 to the Texas School for the Deaf Rangers. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1378th, while the Rangers are ranked 659th).

Concordia has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Texas School for the Deaf, their win bumped their record up to 22-5.

When Concordia and Texas School for the Deaf next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Concordia will try to stop Hill Country Christian School of Austin's three-game winning streak when the meet at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Texas School for the Deaf will take on Vanguard College Prep and their nine-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
