Football Recap: Hawthorne Drops Season-High Score on North Marion

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hawthorne). They came out on top against the North Marion Colts by a score of 33-26 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Hawthorne didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Demya Adams.

Hawthorne's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for North Marion, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Looking ahead, Hawthorne will take on Palatka at 6:55 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hornets are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. North Marion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
