Gloucester had won two straight games and Hayden Simmons did his part to make it three on Wednesday. Everything went the Dukes' way against the Kecoughtan Warriors as they made off with a 3-0 victory with plenty of help from Simmons, who had 14 digs, 12 kills, and two blocks. He is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he's now had eight or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season.

Gloucester walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-23, 26-24, 25-15.

Gloucester's record now sits at 8-9. As for Kecoughtan, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8.

Gloucester wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Lake Taylor on the 1st. As for Kecoughtan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Menchville on the 1st.
