Football Recap: Lennard Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Lennard, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They never let the Plant Panthers get on the board and left with a 26-0 victory on Monday. The Longhorns might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Sydney Elizondo, who threw for 216 yards and four touchdowns.

Lennard didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jordyn Colvenbach, Stacey Reducindo, and Jocelyn Brush picked up one apiece.

Lennard's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 0.0 points on average over those games. As for Plant, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Coming up, Lennard will challenge Spanish River at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Plant, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-0 defeat against Springstead on the 13th.
