Baseball Recap: San Luis Obispo Wins Going Away Against Porterville

San Luis Obispo had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt Porterville on Saturday. Everything went the San Luis Obispo Tigers' way against the Porterville Panthers as the San Luis Obispo Tigers made off with a 10-1 victory. The Tigers not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since May 1, 2024.

Hayden Hall was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Ethan Lazanoff, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4.

San Luis Obispo now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Porterville, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Coming up, San Luis Obispo will head out to square off against Mission College Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Porterville, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Firebaugh at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Porterville is facing Firebaugh at the right time seeing as Firebaugh is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
