Soccer Recap: Mount Miguel Comes Up Short

Mount Miguel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the High Tech CV Bruins. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Matadors couldn't quite close it out.

Mount Miguel's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-2. As for High Tech CV, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7-1.

Mount Miguel has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against West Hills on the 29th. As for High Tech CV, they will square off against Castle Park at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. High Tech CV's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
