Volleyball Recap: Bosque Bobcats vs. Hatch Valley Bears
Bosque lost against Hatch Valley back in September of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bosque Bobcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hatch Valley Bears. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
While Bosque ultimatly came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 22-25, 25-21.
Bosque lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Allison Erickson, who had 11 digs. Another player making a difference was Emma Borkstrom, who had five digs and 16 assists.
Even though they lost, Bosque was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive games.
Bosque's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Hatch Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.
